If you would like to become a homeowner, we can help you prepare for buying your first home. We work with individuals and families to help improve their housing and/or financial situation. We provide individual and group counseling and education on various topics that promote financial security, economic self-sufficiency, and home ownership. We are an Adopter of the National Industry Standards for Homeownership and Foreclosure Intervention Counseling.

Our counselors maintain industry recognized certifications including:
- HUD
- NeighborWorks NCHEC
Once you successfully complete our Homebuyer Education Class, you will receive a certificate of completion within 24 hours. MSHDA and other lenders we partner with have Down Payment Assistance (DPA) programs. Submit your certificate to your lender, and they will discuss your eligibility for down payment assistance.
Note: Each attendee must register to receive a certificate.
